***** SEE ABOVE! ******
  1. Mandatory Appointment Scheduling

St. Luke's Medical Center Extension Clinic will resume normal clinic operations on June 8, 2020. As we are limiting the number of visa medicals performed per day to ensure proper physical distancing in the clinic, all applicants MUST REGISTER ONLINE to set an appointment. To register, please see below:
    • Online Registration for U.S. Visa Applicants
  2. New Appointment Schedules for Visa Applicants who registered before and during the lockdown.

We are currently in the process of sending out new appointment schedules to applicants affected by the lockdown, as well as those who registered during that time.
  3. Payment of Medical Fees; You can pay the medical fee by credit card at SLEC (as of 20 July, 2020) or via Security Bank Bills Payment .      You pay your medical fee through Security Bank (over-the- counter or online), before your scheduled date of medical exam.   Or you can pay by credit card at St. Luke's Extension Clinic.
  4. NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY   We shall be implementing a strict NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY policy. Please wear a face mask when you come for your visa medical examination.

St. Luke's OPENING HOURS start at 7:30 AM  Monday - Friday, excluding holidays.   Medical is WALK-IN only!  No appt!

St. Luke's added the option to pay for the medical through Security Bank, you can go to a Security Bank branch to pay or if you are a Security Bank account holder you can use the online payment system.    Of course paying in Pesos at SLEC is still available.

Arriving hours before St. Luke's opens is not necessary, if you arrived an hour or two after the clinic opens you will still easily complete the 1st day with much less standing in line.   Some arrive closer to 10-11 AM and still easily complete Day 1 of the medical.

The medical is normally a two day process, vaccinations are given on the 2nd day, if there are not issues with your medical.   On rare occasion a person can complete the medical in one day.

~Do take note~

  • TB sputum; If you had to complete the culture test, keep close track of the visa validity date, as it is tied to the initial medical date, thus you will be short of the 6 months, you may only have 90 to 120 days before the visa expires.
  • TB treatment;  If you have to complete the 6 months of DOT treatment you will have to pay for a second medical fee upon completion.  This will only allow you 90 days to enter the USA.
  • Seeking treatment outside St. Luke's will not save you time with this process, it may very well increase the timeline for completing the medical, as the CDC will require a 1 year wait before completing the medical

Foot Notes
MEDICAL & INTERVIEW:  Allow 24 hrs between the embassy interview and Day 2 of the medical.

NO MEDICAL FILE TO HAND CARRY:  IMMIGRANT Visa only!   SLEC
has started to implement the electronic medical (e-medical) file to the embassy to coincide with the new electronic file system being used with immigrant visas (mostly right now).   Very possible SLEC will ask for a copy of your DS-260 confirmation page .. be prepared.

HAND CARRIED MEDICAL FILE:  K-1 for the most part is still
hand carrying the medical file to the embassy interview from SLEC.

For the K-1 on the SLEC website they list the NVC letter/email as a required document.  It may be possible to use the CEAC status page that shows your MNL#, this had been a work around for years, then this past year SLEC started to make the NVC letter/email required.  Now it appears that SLEC has been more lax in accepting the CEAC status page.
