K-1, I-129F  Fiancee visa

  • Approved Petition
  • NVC Processing
  • MNL # - by email
<
>
Once USCIS approves the I-129F petition the case file will then be forwarded to NVC.  This can take a couple weeks to a month.
Once NVC has your case file, they will review it then request a case file number from the embassy, this will be a MNL#.  You will need the letter/email from NVC with this number for the Beneficiary to complete the medical at SLEC and for processing the visa at USEM.

You can patiently wait for NVC to mail the letter with MNL# to you, they will do this automatically.

Or you can email NVC, which is the quickest way to acquire the MNL #, you can then forward the email to your fiancee to print out 2 copies for SLEC to complete the medical.
E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov

Subject line:  USCIS Receipt number from your I-797 Notice of Action (NOA)

Body of email:   "Requesting case file number"   (plus include below required information)

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:
(You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response):

* USCIS Receipt Number from your NOA-2  (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
* Beneficiary's name and date of birth.

NOT RECOMMENDED!

If you want to call NVC, this is the process (but there is little benefit to calling as you need the NVC email/letter to start the medical at St. Luke's)

K-1 are processed like an immigrant visa, but are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own.

K-1 visa:  1-603-334-0888 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 midnight (Eastern Time), Monday thru Friday.

What to Prepare Before Calling:

You will need the following information before you call:
– Name and date of birth of the beneficiary
– Name and date of birth of the petitioner
– Receipt number from your NOA-2

Once you are done with the process at NVC it is time to move on to the embassy
to complete visa application process.
